ISLINGTON TOWN HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Camille and Mathias chose the historic Islington Town Hall for their wedding followed by a reception in The Lauriston Pub in East London’s Victoria Park. London has been experiencing a (rare!) sun drenched May and the weather held for this stylish French couple. The guests gathered at The Vineyard pub, conveniently located bang opposite the Town Hall. While Mathias had a short interview the guests seated themselves in the fabulous main chamber of Islington Town Hall. Camille arrived looking dazzling in a very stylish trouser suit and the wedding service went without a hitch, my only regret was not being able to keep up with the French readings as by the guests reaction they were very funny!
Getting married in Islington North London
I feel privileged to photograph a number of weddings every year at Islington Town Hall. The large Council Chamber is stylish and the smaller Room 99 is perfect for small and intimate family only weddings. A huge draw for Islington Town Hall is the marble corridor and huge marble stair case. After confetti and short family group photography session on the steps of the Town Hall we made our way to The Lauriston Pub in Victoria Park. Victoria Park is pretty close to Islington, 20 minutes in a cab or a vintage bus. I lived in Bethnal Green for a few years and love Victoria Park. Camille and Mathias had booked ahead to keep a few tables and access to a private bar, a smart move as the pub was absolutely heaving with East London’s finest hipsters.

The newly weds and I nipped off for a relaxed portrait session before we all returned to celebrate at the pub. I would like to thank both Camille and Mathias for making me so welcome and wish them all the best for their second wedding bash in France later this summer.
