Weddings at The Palm Court Hurlingham Club

The Hurlingham Club Palm Court Wedding Reception

the hurlingham club wedding 0053

I have photographed weddings at The Hurlingham Club for many years and feel privileged to do so. The Hurlingham Club is an exclusive central London private members club with fabulous sports and events facilities. The Hurlingham Club is an amazing wedding venue – right up there in Londons top ten. Lucy and Ash chose this Fulham wedding venue to host their wedding reception. The wedding started in Richmond Hill Hotel with glasses of bubbles and the bridal party. The wedding ended at The Hurlingham Club with a fire dancer – whats not to love!

Putney Catholic Church Wedding

The groom, Ash was meeting and greeting guests at the Putney Catholic Church – Our Lady of Pity and St.Simon. The traditional Catholic wedding was wonderful and Lucy and Ash left the church to cheers and celebrations. Confetti and some family group photography took place in the ornate gardens behind the church. Family group photography is an important part of any wedding. I am a documentary wedding photographer and prefer to float about a wedding, that said family groups need a certain amount of coordination. I tend to take charge politely in order to get the various groups photographed quickly so the party can get started.

Wedding receptions at The Hurlingham Club

A bus took the guests to The Hurlingham club while I followed the bridal car in my own vehicle. Champagne was waiting for Lucy and Ash on their arrival. The Palm Court as looking spectacular with Indian Sitar players entertaining the guests. The Hurlingham Club grounds are looking particularly gorgeous this time of year so we nipped out for some Mr and Mrs portraits. I like to go for a stroll with the bride and groom and take unposed portraits as we walk.

Drinks and canapes greeted the arriving guests and The Hurlingham Club Palm Court buzzed with celebrations. The huge glass roof let in a warm sunshine and made my job easy with tons of day light. Dinner and speeches followed along with a first dance. The entire wedding party then made their way outside for a fire dancer display. I left the wonderful party in full swing and would like to thank Lucy, Ash and all the guests for making me so welcome.
