Annie and Tim chose the historic The Old Church in Stoke Newington for their super stylish wedding reception. The day was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. This Stoke Newington couple were wonderful and had fabulous guests along with gorgeous weather. I’ve lived and worked in Stoke Newington for over a decade but hadn’t shot a wedding in St.Mary’s Church. I was in for a real treat, architecturally stunning and filled with soft, flattering light. The Old Church is on Stoke Newington Church Street and backs onto Clissold Park. If there is such a thing as a ‘cute’ grave yard then The Old Church has one! The glorious Clissold Park directly behind the venue is super useful for a stroll for Mr and Mrs portraits.

With Clissold Park directly opposite the church we had no shortage of portrait locations. Stoke Newington Church Street also added a hint of urban cool. The No 73 bus is a bit of an institution around these parts so we managed to time it nicely to drive next to the happy couple for a opportune snap – happy days!
Stoke Newington Old Chapel Church Street
The Old Church dates back to the 14th Century (the clue is in the name I spose) and is now a popular venue for gigs as well as wedding receptions. Annie and Tim laid on a terrific spread including magnificent cocktails – rather potent I gather! After speeches the guests all took to the dance floor and a short while later I quietly made a exit leaving everyone to enjoy the rest of a cracking party.
