Josie hails from Leigh Sinton, a pretty village south of Worcester nestled in the Malvern Hills. It was in Leigh Church that Josie and Dan chose to tie the knot, in front of friends and family and with a dog as their ring bearer, brilliant (risky though right?). Thankfully their dog is better behaved than my hound!

I met Josie getting ready at the family homestead – The Norrest. The wedding and bridesmaids’ dresses hung on a four poster bed and gaggle of nephews and nieces dashed around the beautiful family home. Outside the sky was grey and the wind was getting up but so far, none of the promised torrential rain. Dan meanwhile was enjoying a pre-wedding pint and an ushers lunch surrounded by a big gang of mates. After Dan had walked the ushers through their duties and button holes were attached, we all drove the short distance to Leigh Sinton for the wedding – and against all the odds the sun came out! One minute it was a severe weather warning for West England and Wales and the next it was blue skies and sunglasses – the power of positive thought!

Josie arrived at the church with her dapper father in a wonderful vintage car. The church was beautifully decorated with autumnal flowers and fairy lights, and all eyes turned to Josie as she gracefully made her way down the aisle. The service was beautiful and very romantic, some tears were shed but eventually the register was signed and Josie and Dan exited the church to confetti and cheers as man and wife.

The entire wedding party made their way to The Norrest for the reception, a large marquee had been erected and bedecked with flowers. A hand-cranked merry go round entertained the kids as high tea was served. A delish array of sandwiches and cakes was on offer along with glasses of bubbles for those who wished to get the party started.

As the evening progressed the ushers entertained the guests with purple smoke bombs and fireworks, after which followed cake cutting, dinner and speeches. It is at this point I must declare Josie and Dan’s cake as my cake of the year! An truly extraordinary creation – almost too good to eat.

I left the happy couple later in the evening and would like to thank them for making me so welcome and wish them all the best in the future. The wonderful couple decided on commissioning my wedding photography because they like my natural and unposed style. I like to float at a wedding and capture the fun and excitement without impacting on the wedding itself. I do help coordinate family group portraits and other more set piece moments of any wedding but in general I am a Documentary Wedding Photographer. You can see more of my wedding photography on My Portfolio Page. I’ve been given a few awards over the years and am proud of my reviews from happy couples. Please feel free to have a read through my Reviews and check out my About Page. I have availability this year, you can use my Contact Page to get in touch.
