Getting Married at Chelsea Old Town Hall?

You are in good company if you’ve chosen the Chelsea Old Town Hall as your wedding venue. Hugh Grant, Mick Jagger, Pierce Brosnan, and Judy Garland married their respective spouses at Chelsea. A Chelsea Town Hall wedding can be a very intimate, private affair, or it can be as large and lavish as you like. Since it is a register office, it can also be quick and to the point.

Chelsea Old Town Hall is on King’s Road in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It offers many ceremony rooms that are ideal for both your wedding as well as the wedding reception. An intimate ceremony with only a few people in the wedding party is perfect when held in the registry office. The Main Hall is the best choice if you want a larger ceremony. Chelsea has some wonderful wedding reception venues including The Riverside Cafe. The River Thames is a very short walk from Chelsea Old Town Hall. Chelsea Bridge is a gorgeous spot for a portrait or two and Battersea Park is just over the river.

My name is John Sanders, and I am well-known throughout London as a documentary wedding photographer. The Town Hall has a perfect mix of old school charm and contempary cool, great for my style of photography. I prefer the natural wedding photos, unrehearsed and unposed. I capture the beauty in the stolen moments that no one else notices. If you would like to see more of my weddings and get a feel of My Style then feel free to go to my Portfolios. My Prices Page explains the various wedding photography packages, have read through and see what works best. Get in touch if you would like to run me through your plans and I can tailor a package just for you.

History of Chelsea Old Town Hall

Chelsea Old Town Hall opened in 1887. In 1900, the Metropolitan Borough of Chelsea moved its headquarters into the building. The seat of the local government was moved in the mid-1960s. The Brydon Room has been the Chelsea register office and is where many famous people have gotten married. The older portion of the buildings includes exquisite architecture and beautiful amenities that are excellent settings for wedding photography.

The Stokes extension of the Town Hall hosts art exhibits and several other events, including weddings and other gatherings. The extension has facilities that allow it to be used as a reception venue for couples who get married at the Town Hall. As a Chelsea Town Hall photographer, it is easy to see why people choose the Town Hall for their ceremony. The wedding photos from previous ceremonies show the versatility of the Town Hall when it comes to weddings and other gatherings.

Chelsea Old Town Hall Weddings and Events

There are several rooms where you can tie the knot in the Chelsea Old Town Hall. The Harrington Room and the Rossetti Room are great for an intimate wedding. There is just enough room for family members and a few close friends. As the couple exits the building, the ivy climbing the wall and the splash of confetti creates an image that is every photographer’s dream.

Chelsea Old Town Hall wedding photography is one of my specialities. In addition to the ceremony at the Town Hall, I follow the bride and groom as they walk along Sloane Square and down King’s Road. There is something about the tree-lined walkways and the exterior architecture that gives wedding photos the added touch of style and grace.

John Sanders as Your Chelsea Old Town Hall Wedding Photographer

The Chelsea Old Town Hall registrars perform weddings on a daily basis. As your wedding photographer, I will be available when you need me. I will schedule your wedding so I am there for the preparation, the ceremony, and as much of the reception as you want. When you get married at one of London’s most iconic landmarks, you want to capture as much of the day as possible for your wedding album.

I am a laid-back, documentary-style photographer that likes to get to know his clients. I prefer unposed shots that are as natural as possible. This type of photography allows me to see my clients when they have no inhibitions and are not trying to “smile for the camera”. A natural smile is the most beautiful. A wedding is one time when a picture does say a thousand words. I intend to write an entire story with your wedding album.
