Islington Town Hall Wedding
Fredericks Bar in Islington is a wonderful wedding reception choice. Islington Town Hall is just a 10 minute walk down Upper Street. I have photographed many weddings at Islington Town Hall and know it well. The circular Council Chamber is a personal fave of mine – great light and warm colours. Gordan and Farid’s wedding day started with hugs and excitement outside the Town Hall. The dapper couple and I had met a number of times in the lead up to the wedding including a fun cocktail session at Fredericks Bar to run through the schedule with the manager.

F & G tied the knot in front of family and friends. We took some fun, natural and unposed portraits in the marble corridor beside the Islington Town Hall Council Chamber. I love this little portrait session immediately after the wedding. It gives the couple a quick breather and also enables the guests to assemble outside ready for confetti. The walk between Islington Town Hall and Fredericks Bar is a beautiful stroll down Upper Street and through Camden Passage. The pictures of this fun walk are always a Islington wedding highlight.

You are guaranteed amazing food and great service at a wedding reception at Frederick Bar in Islington. G & F hired The Club Room which has a cute balcony and access to the small garden. 50 or so guests sat for dinner and I floated about capturing natural, reportage photography in my usual mix of colour and black and white. I am based in Stoke Newington in Hackney. I photograph weddings regularly all over London but Islington Town Hall is a regular joy. I’m fortunate to photograph a number of Frederick’s Bar wedding every year.
