There’s no two ways about it, Chelsea Town Hall is a cool place to married. Chelsea Town Hall is on Kings Road, a short walk for Sloan Square. This chic Chelsea Town Hall is not a big as Islington, Marylebone Old Town Hall or Hackney Town Halls but thats in no way a bad thing. I have shot some beautiful small and intimate weddings at Chelsea Town Hall. The Brydon Room ands the Rossetti Room are both perfect for 20 or so guests.

Getting married in Chelsea Town Hall

For me, one of the big draws of a Chelsea Town Hall wedding is the attractive surrounding streets. I always suggest a short walk with a bride and groom after confetti. Once we have finished some fun family group portraits on the steps of Chelsea Town Hall we can go for a stroll, this provides a wonderful opportunity for natural and unposed portraits. I’m sharing images from Ari and Adel’s Kings Road wedding. I met Adel outside Chelsea Town Hall, he looked super dapper and was surrounded by friends and family…and his miniature dachshund. Ari was already inside the Town Hall having her short pre wedding interview. The handsome French couple had decided they wanted to walk down the aisle together but still had separate interviews.

Stylish Chelsea Wedding Venues

Ari and Adel chose The Brydon Room for their marriage. The Brydon room seats 20 guests and still leaves a little room to breath. This is super helpful for me (as the wedding photographer). I can gently move around the space without impacting on the wedding or getting in peoples eye-lines. The wedding guests were a fabulous and rowdy gang, amazing cheering! The tiny sausage dog acted as ring bearer. There’s always a slight risk in using pets like this. I can imagine my own daft Labrador bounding out the room and down Kings Road having spotted a pigeon to chase. In this case though, everything went smoothly and Ari and Adel were soon pen in hand signing the register as man and wife.

The wedding team at Kensington and Chelsea Town Hall really know their stuff and make the whole process simple and fun. After the wedding all the guests made their way outside to the exterior steps. I was on hand to gently coordinate. I’m not a raised voice kinda guy but I always lend a hand to get everyone in place. The newly minted Mr and Mrs walked out into a cloud of confetti and cheering. I take family group portraits seriously but always work quickly and efficiently. Ideally, I have a pre arranged list of the various family groups printed out and with me on the day. I think ten or ewer is best, we’ve all been a guests at weddings where family groups take up to an hour. In my experience this is too long, I think 10 or 15 minutes is long enough.

Natural and Unposed Chelsea Wedding Photographer

I photograph all kinds of weddings, mostly in my home city of London but also all over the UK. For this gorgeous little Chelsea Wedding my Petit Package was the perfect fit. The Petit Package is up to 2 hours photography in central London. I met Adel half an hour before the Chelsea Town Hall ceremony and left the happy couple an hour after. In this short time I was able to capture pre wedding, the ceremony, family groups and portraits. I am a relaxed wedding photographer which is what Ari and Adel were looking for. They wanted natural and unposed wedding photography.

Booking a Chelsea Town Hall Wedding Photographer

After the family groups the bride and groom and i nipped off for a walk. Kings Road in Chelsea was a perfect London back drop for some natural portraits. Both Ari and Adel were able to walk from the Town Hall to a small park 2 minutes from Chelsea Town Hall. During this stroll I captured some beautiful portraits with no need to ask for posing. This cool French couple went onto The Riverside Cafe for their wedding reception but I said my goodbyes outside the Town Hall.
