Stoke Newington Town Hall Wedding

2020 was the year of the London Town Hall socially distanced wedding. Sadly Covid19 called time on the majority of wedding venues in and out of London. All the wonderful wellies and teepee weddings and garden marquees were postponed. Pub wedding reception venues all shut up shop. Small and intimate Town Hall weddings, family only affairs have become the norm – at least for the next few months. Heres the upside, London is choc-a-block with a some of the most fantastic Town Hall wedding venues in all of the UK. Stoke Newington Town Hall is my ‘local’, I live in Stokey and therefore photograph a number of weddings at this terrific Hackney wedding venue. The Town Hall in Stoke Newington is located beside Clissold Park – perfect for a stroll and Mr and Mrs portraits. Socially distanced weddings at Stoke Newington Town Hall work particularly well due to the balcony in the main Council Chamber. This East London Town Hall also has front and rear doors enabling guests to keep distanced.

Socially Distanced Wedding at Hackney Town Hall

Hackney Town Hall is another super cool East London wedding venue. This London Town Hall has played host to numerous weddings I have photographed over the years. Hackney Town Hall has the added benefit of Space, with a capital S! There are many options for big weddings in the Assembly Rooms or the North or South Atria. The Hackney Town Hall committee rooms are perfect for tiny intimate affairs. My fave is the Hackney Council Chamber, circular and light it is a wonderful London wedding venue. This famous East London Town Hall also has its own chic and Art Deco bar available for hire – The Bridge Town Bar.

Socially distanced wedding at Islington Town Hall

The ever popular (for all the right reasons) Islington Town Hall is one of my fave London Town Hall Wedding venues. The iconic marble staircase is stunning for wedding portraits or full family groups. The circular Islington Town Hall Council Chamber works well in socially distanced weddings as there is space to spread out. Islington Town Hall is the starting point to many an East London wedding. Popular wedding reception pubs are all within 10 minutes including The Drapers Arms and The Londesborough.

Socially distanced Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding

Old Marylebone Town Hall is another ‘big hitter’ in terms of London wedding venues. It is similar in size to Islington or Stoke Newington wedding venues. The Daytoremember team have managed Covid fantastically. Face masks must be worn by all but the bride and groom but can be removed for family group photography.

Due to all the postponements in 2020 I am getting busy for London weddings in 2021. I recommend dropping me a line as soon as you have a date booked.
