Annie & Tim – Stoke Newington Wedding

As London N16 locals, Annie and Tim chose the beautiful St.Mary’s Church in Stoke Newington for their service, the Rose and Crown on Church Street (a very popular pub and sought after boutique guest house) for pre-wedding drinks and the historic Old Church for their suuper stylish reception. The day was an absolute pleasure from start to finish, a wonderful couple, fabulous guests and gorgeous weather. Although I’ve lived and worked in Stokey for over a decade I hadn’t shot a wedding in St.Mary’s and was in for a real treat, architecturally stunning and filled with soft, flattering light. With Clissold Park directly opposite the church we had no shortage of portrait locations post service and Stoke Newington Church Street added a hint of urban cool. The No 73 bus is a bit of an institution around these parts so we managed to time it nicely to drive next to the happy couple for a opportune snap – happy days!

The Old Church dates back to the 14th Century (the clue is in the name I spose) and is now a popular venue for gigs as well as wedding receptions. Annie and Tim laid on a terrific spread including magnificent cocktails – rather potent I gather! After speeches the guests all took to the dance floor and a short while later I quietly made a exit leaving everyone to enjoy the rest of a cracking party.

I would like to thank both the bride and groom for asking me to photograph their wonderful day and making me feel so welcome.
