York House Richmond Wedding Photographer

Dina and Stuart got married at York House in Twickenham and celebrated their wedding reception at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park. York House is a magnificent Town Hall with ornate gardens and lawns. This was a small and intimate family only wedding so The Hyde Room was perfect. The Hyde Room is South Facing so there’s plenty of natural light. Double doors open up onto a terrace, perfect for confetti after the ceremony. The lovely couple wanted a very low key wedding, nothing too formal. I was asked to float about and capture natural moments which happens to be exactly the way I like to work, happy days.

The wedding ceremony went smoothly, the York House wedding team really know their stuff. We followed the York House wedding with confetti and some fun family groups. The light was gorgeous, Dina had asked that I take a portrait of all the individual couples, many of whom had traveled a very way. We also took a lovely ‘everyone’ photo on the outdoor steps with York House behind. The bride and groom and I then went for a little stroll around the grounds.

Pembroke Lodge Wedding Reception

The ornamental gardens at York House are stunning and the Thames is literally directly behind the Town Hall. The wedding couple used to walk their dog in the grounds so the gardens have special meaning for them. This was a Petit Wedding Package, meaning I was with the couple for only a couple of hours. Therefore we all jumped into taxis (I drove my own car) and made our way to Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park.

Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park is a super stylish wedding and wedding reception venue in the centre of one of Londons most stunning open spaces. If Richmond Park is new to you then I suggest hopping on a bike and grabbing a picnic because its one of Londons most stunning areas. Herds of Deer wander about and the woodland is gorgeous, Richmond Park feels very remote and wild even though its in London. You can use Pembroke Lodge for a full wedding day, the building hosts weddings and receptions. On this occasion Dina and Stuart held a champagne and cocktail reception followed by a delish meal in the Russell Suite.

Wedding guests had traveled from all over the world to Pembroke Lodge to celebrate with Dina and Stuart. The Russell Suite was set for a dinner, the trees were in full blossom mode and Stuart was ready for the first speech. I was able to float about and document the little touches that had gone into the wedding. Individual table settings and the flowers all looked suitably amazing and the food at Pembroke Lodge is proper fine dining. Regardless of how spicy the menu was, Dina likes her meals to have a kick to hilariously she brought her own Tabasco. This is just the sort of funny detail I love in a wedding and the sort of thing that can be lost in a big day.
