bride and groom getting married at council chamber in stoke newington town hall

Emma & Alex – Stoke Newington Town Hall Wedding

Emma and Alex chose the holy trinity of Stoke Newington wedding venues for their big day: The Rose and Crown pub on Church Street for a pre wedding tipple, Stoke Newington Town Hall for the ‘I do’s’ and The Londesborough pub a short stroll away on Barbauld Road for the reception party. I arrived at The Rose and Crown to find Alex wrestling with his button hole as glorious spring sunshine streamed into the pub. Before long we all made our way over the road to Stoke Newington Town Hall for the service.

Best Hackney Pub Wedding Reception Venues

Emma arrived looking absolute dynamite and the bridal party made their way to the magnificent Council Chamber for the service, after which it was back out into the sunshine for confetti on the town hall steps, followed by a short family portrait session. As the wedding party set off for reception venue The Londesborough, the bride and groom and I took a more circuitous route, enjoying a leisurely stroll by way of Stoke Newington back roads, stopping occasionally for some relaxed portraits.

Londesborough Pub Wedding Reception

The Londesborough always put on a great reception. Family, friends and well-deserved drinks were all waiting for the happy couple. With such fabulous weather, all the guests posed for a fun group picture outside the pub, some of the more adventurous ones hopping onto benches so we could fit everyone in. Speeches followed, amusing and moving in equal measure, and after a cracking buffet, a DJ took over and the tables were moved back for dancing. I left the awesome couple to enjoy the rest of their evening and would like to thank them and all their guests for making me so welcome.
