Wiltshire Documentary Wedding Photographer

Wardour Castle Chapel in the summer is a perfect wedding location. If you haven’t visited Wardour Castle in Wiltshire then go – its amazing. Milly and James got married at the Chapel in Wardour Castle. Then followed a fabulous marquee wedding reception with a natural spring pool for a cool off. I stayed in the pretty village of Tisbury then night before the wedding. If a wedding is more than a few hours outside London I prefer to be ‘on site’ the evening before the wedding. I met up with Milly and the girls at the family home. James was getting ready in an Air B & B close to Wardour Castle.

Getting married in Wardour Castle Chapel

The Chapel at Wardor Castle is stunning. Milly arrived with her father in a Sanyukta Shestha wedding dress and looked simply dynamite. A wonderful mix of family, guests, youth and wisdom looked on as James and Milly tied the knot. The newly minted Mr and Mrs exited Wardour Castle Chapel to a shower of confetti. James jumped into the driving seat of a super cool vintage sports car and with me following wizzed off to the marquee for the wedding reception. While en route I managed to grab a cute image of the couple with the Wiltshire countryside in the back ground, happy days.

Natural and Unposed UK Wedding Photography

I have photographed many weddings in blistering August heat. This was the first summer wedding that had a swimming pool available to cool off in. The swimming pool was not just any pool. This was a wild swimming pool with bull rushes and frogs and lilly pads – absolute heaven! While some guests swam others relaxed with a Pimms while a jazz band played. Milly and James and I nipped of for some relaxed and unposed wedding portraiture. The Wiltshire countryside provided a suitably magnificent back drop. Dinner and speeches followed, as the sun set we nipped off for some additional portraits as the light was perfect. Before long sparklers were light and fireworks were prepped. I left the amazing party, DJ smashing the dance-floor and celebrations all round. If you are planning your own Wardour Castle Chapel then please feel free to email me for my availability. I cannot promise a wild swimming pool but I can guarantee wonderful, low key and relaxed documentary wedding photography.
