Babington House Somerset wedding
Babington House is a super chic summer wedding venue. Gareth and Lucy’s Somerset wedding was a delight. One of the many fab features of Babington House is the ability to hire the venue in its entirety. With 33 rooms Babington House can sleep 84 guests on site. The privacy this provides is one of the reason that Babington House is beloved of the celeb set. St. Margaret’s Church is a cute wedding chapel within the grounds, it provides the venue for the wedding. The Orangery and the library in the main Regency house is where the wedding breakfast takes place. A summer wedding at Babington House is particularly beautiful as the grounds are stunning. The walled garden is particularly photogenic, perfect for a stroll with a newly minted Mr and Mrs.

The wedding day started with a cricket match on the cricket pitch within the grounds of Babington House. While Gareth and the fellas were enjoying a fun pre wedding match Lucy and the girls were getting having hair and make up and enjoying a glass of bubbles or two. I was able to float about the grounds photographing the excitement building in my usual low key documentary style. Guests filled up the wedding chapel and Lucy and Gareth tied the knot to cheers and confetti. A champagne reception followed the ceremony in the fabulous manicured grounds of this Somerset private members club. The bride, groom and I took a leisurely stroll through the gardens and wild flower meadows for some low key and unposed portraiture.

Dinner and speeches were in the Babington House Orangery. During the evening guests had a wonderful blend of cocktails, dance-floor madness and outdoor lawn games. I was on hand till late to photograph the party and left the Babington House wedding reception in full swing.
