Richmond and Twickenham Documentary Wedding Photographer
It was my first visit to Richmond upon Thames, York House for this intimate summer wedding. I am very familiar with all the Central and North London Town Hall. It was a real treat to photograph a wedding somewhere new. York House in Richmond upon Thames is actually in Twickenham, not Richmond. The Town Hall, also called York House is a fabulous building. There are no impressive marble stair-cases like Old Marylebone Town Hall and Islington Town Hall. Richmond upon Thames York House has an entirely different vibe, much more palatial – like a country house.
Getting married in Richmond upon Thames
Eleanor and Jordan got married in the Loggia Room in York House. This was a small, family only wedding, the legal part. The main wedding party is scheduled for later in the year in Harry Warren House. Harry Warren House is on the Jurassic Coast. If its not on your radar then make sure you check it out. The main wedding is later in the year but we didn’t hold back at Richmond Town Hall though. There were tears in abundance, confetti and celebrations. The grounds of Richmond upon Thames York House are magnificent and perfect for wedding portraiture. The newly minted Mr and Mrs had a relaxing stroll around the grounds. The bridges and Thames tow path all offered wonderful opportunities.
