Milly and James Wardour Castle Wedding Photographer

Wardour Castle Chapel, near Tisbury was the setting for Milly and James’s Wiltshire wedding, a fab country bash with an Art Deco flavour on one of the hottest weekends of the year – marquee’s, open top cars, croquet…and a swimming pool.
The reception was held at Hatch Manor, Milly’s family home, a short drive from the wedding venue Wardour Castle Chapel. The stunning flowers that decorated the marquee and adorned Milly and her bridesmaids hair were all home grown – a tribute to Milly’s mum’s hard work. An amazing amount of detail had gone into transforming a family garden into a wedding reception venue – truly wonderful! Milly and James welcomed their guests in a loosely formal receiving line before champagne and nibbles were served under canvas.

As a sumptuous meal was served Milly’s father rose to entertain the crowd with his saxophone prowess followed by a father of the bride speech, thankfully the England Vs Columbia game had just finished so he had the full attention of the crowd. The speeches were amusing and moving in equal measure and before long the wedding party moved onto phase two – swimming pool fun and live jazz – what a combo!

As the evening came in, dinner was followed by cake cutting and first dancing. The dance floor remained packed until guests were entertained by fireworks and sparklers, I left the happy couple to enjoy the rest of their evening and would like to thank both Milly and James for making me so welcome.
