Islington Wedding Photographer
Mitsuko and Nicolas arrived to Islington Town Hall for their wedding. It was a cold and bright February day and the stylish couple looked absolute dynamite. Nicolas was in black tie and Mitsuko wore a fabulous beaded vintage dress. I’m a North London Wedding Photographer and was commissioned to photograph this small and perfectly formed wedding celebration. Room 99 Islington Town Hall Wedding
Wedding guests began to arrive to Islington Town Hall and were invited to wait at the top of the majestic marble staircase, letting the registrars prepare Room 99. I love photographing weddings in Islington Town Hall, it’s one of my absolute favourite London wedding venues. I have photographed numerous weddings here and feel I’ve got a pretty good handle on where is best for me to capture the emotions and excitement while staying to the periphery.

The ‘Say I Do’ wedding team at Islington are experts at making a couple relaxed and running a smooth wedding. The wedding guests took their seats in Room 99 as Miksuko and Nicolas made their entrance to a fun ABBA track and made their wedding vows in front of friends and family. I take a very natural approach to wedding portraiture, I prefer a non-posed, captured moment. The celebratory walk from either a Council Chamber wedding or Room 99 weddings is a wonderful opportunity for Mr and Mrs portraits.
Wedding Portraits in Angel Islington
There is a short walk between Islington Town Hall and a Fredericks Bar, about ten minutes. I have found a pretty route between the two Islington Wedding Venues that provides some stunning portrait opportunities. I like a natural portrait rather than anything overly posed so I always suggest a stroll after a wedding.
Fredericks Bar Islington Wedding Reception – 106, Islington High Street, London N1 8EG
Fredericks Bar is a super stylish Islington Bar and Restaurant. The restaurant is family run and has served up stella cocktails and amazing food for many years. I’ve had the great pleasure of photographing many wedding receptions at this cool joint along with some excellent weddings too.
Stylish Islington Wedding Reception Venues
You can hire Fredericks in Islington for an entire wedding meaning you can get married, grab a cocktail and celebrate all in one space! There’s a cute first floor room private dining space that can also be set up with chairs etc for a wedding ceremony. Nicolas and Mitsuko hired the light and bright Club Room for their wedding reception. The Club Room at Fredericks has floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that open onto a central garden. There is also nice decking for al fresco drinks and space for kids to dash about a bit.
