Stoke Newington Town Hall Wedding
A Stoke Newington Town Hall wedding with a Londesborough Pub wedding reception, ace! I live in Stoke Newington, a pretty enclave of Hackney. Stoke Newington Town Hall is my local wedding venue and The Londesborough is my local pub. The Londesborough pub on Barbauld Road is more of a destination foodie pub than a ‘boozer’. It is a busy with fabulous weddings almost every weekend so if you planning a wedding at The Londesborough N16 then book well in advance. Amy and Jess started their wedding day in The Rose and Crown. This pub is located directly opposite Stoke Newington Town Hall and therefore a perfect pre wedding meeting point.
The Londesborough Pub N16 Wedding Reception
The Stoke Newington Town Hall is an iconic 1930’s building with a ton of deco style. The Council Chamber is a real fave of mine. The Council Chamber room has a fab balcony, often where the naughty table are sat! The high sky lights provide very flattering light – always helpful to a natural light loving wedding photographer. Confetti and celebration awaited Jess and Amy as they walked through the doors as man and wife. We spent ten minutes or so taking some fun family group pictures before a short walk to The Londesborough Pub N16. I am a reportage or documentary photographer, I like natural, unposed photography with a healthy amount of Black and White. The walk between Stoke Newington Town Hall and The Londesborough provides wonderful portrait opportunities.
Stoke Newington Documentary Wedding Photographer
It is a bit of a tradition to take a group picture outside the Londesborough. The pub has benches outside that guests can clamber onto. I always help gently organise this fun moment, I am not a shouty photographer so a little nudge here and there always helps. Gregory and Patrick (fantastic owners and managers of The Londesborough) always make sure everyone has a glass of bubbles in their hand. A wedding reception at The Londesborough means amazing food. Speeches usually take place in the large dining area at the back of the pub. Post meal the tables are removed and a dance floor is revealed. Amy and Jess had a wicked DJ and also a retro PA from Phat’s and Small!
