Islington Town Hall Wedding
This was an Islington Town Hall wedding with a Drapers Arms Pub wedding reception. A proper North London wedding full of fun, love and emotion. Laura and Andy wanted a family only, intimate Islington Town Hall wedding. The Council Chamber at Islington Town Hall is one of my fave wedding venues. The light is flattering and even from high windows. I love the access a photographer gets in the Council Chamber. The circular room enables me to float around the outside of the room. On a long lens with no flash I get to document the wedding while staying out of guests eye-lines, perfect.
North London Town Hall Wedding
Islington Town Hall has a super chic marble corridor right beside the Council Chamber. The marble corridor is a stunning portrait location. Once Laura and Andy tied the knot I took some fun portraits in the corridor while guests made their way outside for confetti. The steps of the Town Hall in Islington are great for wedding group photography. I like to grab a photograph of the entire wedding party as well as individual family groups. The Drapers Arms Pub is located very close to the Town Hall, a convenient 10 minute walk. I have had the pleasure to photograph a number of weddings at this cool Islington Pub wedding reception venue.

The Drapers Arms pub in Islington has a lovely function room above the main bar. There are huge windows and painted floor boards; over all – very cool. The food and service is always immaculate at The Drapers Arms. Canapes were served along with glasses of champagne and the odd pint. As guests chatted I competed with a fun Polaroid camera doing the rounds. The images from the polaroid were then stuck in a little album, a lovely little wedding touch. Laura and Andy had grey skies for much of their wedding day. As the evening progressed the sun made an appearance so we nipped out for some additional portraits. I take a very relaxed approach to wedding portraiture. We all went for a little stroll while I took natural and unposed pictures.
