Islington Wedding Photographer
Islington Town Hall is a belter of wedding venue. What ever the size of your wedding, Islington Town Hall has a room to fit. Sacha and Leo chose the fabulous Council Chamber for their intimate London Wedding. Islington Council Chamber can usually can seat 100 guests. The 20 friends and family therefore had absolutely no problem social distancing! Sacha and Leo had to move and resize their wedding twise over the last few months so it was with great cheer that they finally tied the knot.
London Wedding Photography at Islington Town Hall
Leo, looking suitably dapper arrived in a black cab with his best men. Guests were arriving to the Town Hall while I floated about capturing fun moments. Sacha and the girls arrived, bang on time – excited and glamorous in equal measure. Considering the new Covid restrictions, pretty quickly everyone was seated in the Islington Town Hall Council Chamber. A simple iPhone and selfie stick live streamed the wedding for those guests stuck abroad. Rings, I do’s and kissing followed before confetti on the steps outside. I managed to squeeze in a little portrait or two in the beautiful marble corridor while guests made their way outside.
Fredericks Bar Islington Wedding Reception
I pride myself on being a discrete and low key documentary wedding photographer. But I believe family group pictures are an important element of wedding. The steps of Islington Town Hall are perfect for family wedding groups. If the weather is a bit off then the interior marble stair case works well too. Sacha and Leo lucked out with the sunshine as we all made our way to Fredericks Bar in Camden Passage. I have photographed a number of weddings at Fredericks Bar, amazing service, cocktails and food, whats not to love?
I have enjoyed the small and intimate weddings that Covid has forced on us all. I am also looking forward to the return of bigger, all day weddings.
