Weddings at Old Marylebone Town Hall
The Old Marylebone Town Hall is an iconic wedding venue. I have photographed many weddings in The Old Marylebone Town Hall, its a fave London venue of mine. Kevin and Stephanie got married in the Westminster Room. All the main London Town Halls have a particular charm. Islington Town Hall has a particularly impressive marble staircase. Stoke Newington Town Hall has a stunning Council Chamber and Clissold Park on its doorstep. Hackney Town Hall and Chelsea Town Hall are another two historic London wedding venues. Old Marylebone Town Hall has a number of features that set it in my top 5 London wedding venues. The impressive neo classical frontage – the pillars and steps. The mahogany corridors and marble stair cases and the light in The Westminster Room. Kev and Steph made all the right choices and it was a privilege to photograph their big day.

Covid restrictions have played havoc with the wedding industry. Steph and Kev commissioned my wedding photography in 2019. They had to wait till 2021 to actually tie the knot. One result of this frustrating delay was a double celebration, a baby was on the way! A new dress was ordered and fun post wedding plans hatched. This was my first ever gender reveal photograph on the steps of Old Marylebone Town Hall. Emotions ran high as the confetti canons announced the gender.
Natural and Unposed London Documentary Wedding Photography
I love the portrait opportunities in Marylebone Town Hall. There are pools of warm, natural light in the wood panelled corridors. The huge pillars at the front of the building offer wonderful portrait opportunities. I like to stroll with a couple in the back streets behind the Town Hall. There are lots of cobbled ‘Old London’ streets that are perfect for natural and unposed portraits. A little post wedding stroll is also a great chance to take a breather after the high emotions of a wedding.
