Booking a Marylebone Old Town Hall Wedding Photographer

Jaime and Silvia chose London for their international wedding location, both being from Spain. Their families and friends arrived to the Soho Room at Marylebone Old Town Hall from all corners of the globe – longest distance traveled, Argentina! The Soho Room at the Marylebone Old Town Hall is a small and intimate venue suitable for a 20 or so seated guests. As all the rooms at this Westminster Wedding Venue the Soho Room is super stylish with a floor to ceiling window and contemporary vibes.

Silvia arrived separately to Jaime, wearing an elegant trouser suit and looking absolutely dynamite. All the wedding guests were seated and the excitement was building. The wedding team at Marylebone Old Town Hall as tremendous and guide a couple through the wedding process from start to finish. Jaime was greeted at the main door and escorted to his interview. Silvia was likewise met at the main entrance and whisked off a different route so the bride and groom didn’t see each other. I have photographed many wedding weddings at this historic London Town Hall, each very different. The team at Westminster always run a tight ship while calming nerves and finding the joy in the occasion.

Getting Married near Regents Park

After the wedding ceremony the bride and groom and I stayed in the Soho Room while all the guests made their way outside to the grand front steps of Marylebone Old Town Hall. The marble corridors and stair case make an awesome back drop for Mr and Mrs portraits. I mentioned that all weddings share similarities obviously but always have their own flavour. At this particular wedding Jaime and Silvia’s guests had a Just married sheet with a large love heart printed on it. The newly weds were given scissors (no running 😉 and raced to cut out the heart before stepping through the hole in the sheet – great fun!

Most weddings have few more formal family wedding portraits. The huge steps of Marylebone Old Town Hall are perfect for a big group picture. Once the confetti has settled its the best time to get this fun session under way. After the family group portraits, usually around 10 minutes I like to go for a leisurely stroll for a few more portraits. The huge classical pillars are gorgeous and iconic for a Westminster wedding. Regents Park is a huge ornate green space a short walk from the Town Hall. We had a bit of rain on the day so it was up with the brollies . The walk to Regents Park is very pretty and a great opportunity for me to take unposed and natural photographs on the way.

We arrived to Regents Park and made our way to The Rose Garden. Weeping Willows, lakes and grand Recency London all make for wonderful surrounds. I thought the ornate Regents Park Gates were a perfect back drop for another couple of family groups and it was here that I left the gang to enjoy the rest of their day. I photograph many big, all day weddings but I also love a small and initmate family only celebration. I was with Silvia and Jaime for three hours, my Petit Package. In this small time slot I was on hand for bride and groom arrival, the ceremony, portraits and the fun documentary style photography that I am known for.
