A Kings Cross St. Pancras Hotel wedding reception is always going to be a treat. The Gilbert Scott Bar at the North London St.Pancras Hotel is world class awesome! Fabulous decor, cocktails to die for and 5 star service – all in all, happy days. Kamilla and Matt started their wedding day in Stoke Newington, a pretty borough of Hackney. Stoke Newington Town Hall hosted the small and intimate wedding. This Town Hall is one of my fave London Town Halls for a wedding and also my local one.
Getting married in Kings Cross
We all arrived to the St.Pancras hotel for the wedding reception. Matt and Kamilla and I nipped off for a fun little stroll while the guests explored the cocktail list at The Gilbert Scott Bar. The exterior of Kings Cross St. Pancras Hotel is iconic. A relaxed, natural and unposed series of portraits followed, with the hotel as a back drop. I do not like to take a bride and groom away from their own wedding for long and keep my portrait sessions to 15 minutes or so. We returned to the Gilbert Scott Bar for a well earned Dark and Stormy (I had a double expresso, booze and cameras do not mix!).
Planning a wedding at St.Pancras Hotel
The St.Pancras Hotel has a magnificent stair case. After a few family portraits on the stairs Kamilla and Matt stopped for a portrait or two in the stunning light. A private dining room was made ready for the wedding party. Marcus Waring’s restaurant provided suitably fantastic dishes. A lovely touch was the signed menus (by Marcus)at each table setting.
