The Hurlingham Club wedding reception
I love a wedding at The Hurlingham Club. Unless you are a member of this super exclusive central London club you might not have heard of the Hurlingham. The Hurlingham Club is located just over the river from Putney and short walk from Chelsea. This chic club has amazing sports facilities, a ball room and stunning Orangery. It also has a 25 year waiting list for new members! A summer wedding at The Hurlingham is a particular delight as the manicured grounds are wonderful for wedding reception drinks and portraiture.
Getting married at The Hurlingham Club
Lucy and Ash chose the Hurlingham as a central london wedding reception venue. They actually tied the knot in the Catholic church in Putney. The bride, groom and I arrived ahead of the main wedding party. The Palm Court and Orangery was beautifully decorated with flowers. A sitar player and drummer provided the sound track as Pimms and champagne were poured. The grounds of The Hurlingham Club offered as many portrait opportunities as any photographer could ask for. The rose gardens and wisteria were in full bloom as Lucy, Ash and I had a leisurely stroll around the club grounds.
