Hayley and Jac chose Alveston Pastures Farm for their gorgeous wedding reception venue. It doesn’t get much more English than this, a beautiful summer wedding in Shakespeare country. Hayley got ready at the boutique Hotel Indigo in Chapel Street, Stratford-upon-Avon. Hotel Indigo is an original Tudor house with beams, inglenooks and four poster beds. Meanwhile the groom and his gang steadied their nerves with a pint or two downstairs at the bar, cue more beams and Tudor loveliness!

The ceremony itself took place just a short walk away at The Stratford-Upon-Avon Town Hall, in a suitably impressive room. There were double height ceilings and windows, ornate plasterwork and a couple of very nice chandeliers… they do things properly up here you know.

Farm Wedding Reception in Stratford-Upon-Avon
Then Jac and Hayley got into into cars for a short drive to the wedding reception at Alveston Pastures Farm – a staggeringly beautiful spot in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside. The grounds here are exquisite and dotted with 18th century red brick buildings – a great backdrop for pics. There’s even a maze. An actual maze! Plus there’s space enough here for the bride and groom to take a breather away from the party proper and capture some relaxed couple portraits as they meander through the grounds.
Countryside Wedding in Warwickshire
The weather was glorious all day long, and it was still warm enough come evening for the band to set up outside on the lawn so that Hayley and Jac could take their First Dance al fresco. From then on the party continued on the lawn until late into the night (another great thing about countryside weddings – no neighbours to complain about the noise). This was my first visit to Alveston Pastures Farm wedding Reception venue and very wonderful it was indeed. Congrats to Hayley and Jac and thanks for introducing me to a spectacular wedding venue in a lovely corner of the world.
