I love a Hackney wedding and Rory and Sam organised a belter: London Fields followed by Hackney Town Hall followed by a real East London gem of a venue, the Clapton Round Chapel.

Rory and Sam looked super dapper as I met them outside the Cat & Mutton pub, on Broadway Market in London Fields. We had a leisurely stroll through the park taking relaxed pre wedding portraits, finally ending up in The Pub on the Park where the ‘best people’ were waiting for the celebrations to start.

We walked as a gang to the Hackney Town Hall for the wedding ceremony, picking up a bundle more guests on the way. The service was perfect, beautiful readings and a lovely balance of celebration and emotion.

We exited the Hackney Town Hall to confetti followed by a brief family group portrait session, then we all walked the 15 minutes to the Clapton Round Chapel for the wedding reception.

This was my first visit to this amazing Hackney venue, the circular hall was bedecked in bunting and fairy lights with a balcony running around the entire space. After delish canapes it was time for Hog Roast and speeches, one of my fave parts of a wedding. The speeches were hilarious and moving in equal part and led joyously into the first dance and then the craziest disco of the wedding season so far – kudos to The Wedding Smashers Dj’ing – you did indeed smash it!

I left the terrific party and wonderful couple later that night and would like to thank both Rory and Sam for making me so welcome.
