Helen & Brian – Islington Town Hall & Paradise by way of Kensal Green Wedding Photography
I met Helen in one of my fave pubs The Fox and Anchor near London’s Smithfield Market. Helen and her bridesmaids were in the final stages of getting ready and all looking fabulous. London Black Cabs took the entire bridal party the short distance to Islington Town Hall where a very dapper groom was waiting. I am huge fan of the Islington Town Hall Council Chamber – circular, high ceilinged and full of light, it’s a wonderful place to tie the knot.
After the ceremony, and taking full advantage of the beautiful weather, we stopped on the steps of Islington Town Hall for a quick family group portrait session before nipping over the road to the Vineyard Pub. A vintage Route Master Double Decker arrived to take us to the wedding reception venue – The Paradise by Way of Kensal Green – a very cool converted pub in Kilburn, North East London. The Paradise is a belter of a venue, a large, bright ground floor and a hodge podge of smaller rooms over the next two floors – all faded grandeur with peeling wallpaper, chesterfield sofas and massive chandeliers. Helen, Brian and I snuck off for a few additional portraits while all the guests got stuck into the cocktails. Dinner and speeches followed and after a terrific first dance I left the awesome gang to their dance-floor mayhem.
I would like to thank Helen and Brian along with their amazing bridesmaids for making me so welcome and wish them all the very best in the future.
