It was my first visit to Micklefield Hall, near Bushey in Hertforshire, and this stylish wedding venue was an absolute delight. Keren and Dani chose to get married in the open air under a Huppah supported by their nearest and dearest. Under blue skies and after a joyous shout of ‘muzal tov!’ I organized a quick group photography session, the Hertfordshire countryside providing a suitably beautiful back drop. Once we had the formal family groups photographed, the bride and groom and I took ourselves off for a relaxed portrait session, with manicured grounds, a rose garden and an ornate pond we were utterly spoilt for choice.

Dinner was served in Micklefield Hall’s Great Barn. This amazing and ancient building, dating back to 1580, has been newly refurbed for weddings and events, seating 100 + with beautiful lighting, under floor heating and all the bells and whistles. Moving and amusing speeches followed and soon a talented bunch of musicians played out Keren and Dani’s first dance. I left this terrific bunch of people later in the evening with the dance floor packed.

I would like to thank both the bride and groom for making me so welcome at their wonderful wedding, and wish them all the very best for the future.
