Petersham Nurseries hosted C&J’s wedding reception, as their wedding photographer this wonderful party was a joy from start to finish. Petersham Nurseries in Richmond is far from local for a Hackney based Wedding Photographer like myself but well worth the journey South of the river. Petersham Nurseries is a combination of restaurant, florist, party venue and garden centre, as such it is filled to rafters with stuff you want eat, smell, look at or buy!

Petersham Nurseries as a wedding reception is particularly wonderful for wedding photographers as you have access to the Thames, a stunning pasture and gorgeous woodland. My preferred style of wedding portraits or ‘Mr & Mrs portraits’ as they come to be known is to have a relaxed stroll with the couple and capture honest moments rather than anything too forced or posed. C&J loved this style of wedding photography as neither of them felt overly confident in front of the camera.

The table placing and seating arrangements at Petersham Nurseries in Richmond are truly artful making guests feel as this they are eating in a stunning garden – which, of course they kinda are..With plants growing everywhere and the ceiling dripping with flowers it’s impossible not to get swept up with the glorious romance of this London wedding reception venue.
