Hampshire Documentary Wedding Photographer
Anita and Matt chose Froyle Park for their winter wedding. This was my first visit to Froyle Park in Hampshire and I’m quite smitten. I love an uncomplicated wedding and Froyle Park is a venue you can get married at and then stay the night, perfect. I met Anita and her gang in the final stages of wedding prep. The bridal suite over looks the car park. Huge Edwardian floor to ceiling windows and a balcony. So there was lots of Anita ducking down and hiding as guests started to arrive. This was a fabulous fusion wedding. Matt in a dapper suit and Anita in a sari. The actual ceremony was humanist.

There is a gorgeous stair case at Froyle Park down which Anita and her mother came both looking amazing. The wedding ceremony was a mid day affair. This is perfect as you lose daylight by 4 ish in November. Confetti and some fun family groups followed. I always work very quickly with the ‘formal’ family photography. There are often elderly VIP’s and brides with bare shoulders that didn’t want to be outside in the cold for long. Drinks and canapes awaited the guests inside as the bride and groom and I had a stroll for some relaxed portraits. The grounds of Froyle Park are very pretty even in the winter.
Froyle Park Ball Room Wedding Reception
The Ball Room at Froyle Park looked terrific for this winter wedding. The Bride and Groom entered the Ball Room to cheers and applause. Speeches followed by a superb Indian meal followed. The groomsman and bridesmaids were very helpful in helping to organise the guests ready for sparklers. A corridor of sparklers looks amazing but always needs a bit of planning ahead. Ideally all the sparklers want to be lit at the same time. This means a ton of lighters on hand and a bit of coordination. A fantastic bhangra DJ got the dance-floor filled, there was even a conga!
