Trinity Buoy Wharf <\/a>is a super stylish wedding venue in East London located beside the Thames<\/a> and opposite The O2. This was not my first visit to Trinity Buoy Wharf<\/a> but its impossible not be blown away by this awesome venue. There aren’t many London wedding venues that can boast an actual Light House. In fact, there is only one wedding venue thats got an actual factual Light House and thats Trinity Buoy Wharf<\/a>. Having a Light House attached to your wedding venue may not be high on your priority list but undeniably cool none the less! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cool East London Wedding Venues<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main room at Trinity Buoy Wharf is called The Chain and Buoy Store. It’s where the wedding ceremony, dinner and the party is held. It’s an enormous space with huge sliding barn doors and gorgeous exposed London brick. Metal girders and rivets are all visible – its got a very cool industrial feel. There is a large terrace outside the Chain Store which is literally next to the Thames with amazing views. A wedding party can arrive by boat directly to Trinity Buoy Wharf, I’ve never done this but what a moment that would be! A few years back you had to arrive by boat to Tower Bridge and then get buses to Trinity Buoy Wharf, now though you can go direct!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting Married on The Thames in London<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Deepika and Alex chose Trinity Buoy Wharf as their wedding venue as they both call East London home. I arrived early (as always) and the main Chain and Buoy Store was already set up. The wedding team at TBW are really on top of their game and were on hand to welcome the Groom, Alex and his best-men on their arrival. Deepika arrived shortly after to the back of the building and therefore out of sight. I was able to move between both parties as the excitement built and guests began to take their seats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best Summer Weddings Venues on The Thames<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Deepika looked absolutely dynamite as she walked down the aisle towards Alex. Her sisters were bridesmaids and their children did a magnificent job as flower girl and page boy. The wedding was funny, emotional and super quick. I have a particular fondness for The Chain and Buoy Store at Trinity Buoy Wharf, it’s is a gift to a documentary wedding photographer<\/a> . There is a ton of natural light flooding into the room and plenty of space so I can move around discretely. Small and tight rooms, often at Town Halls can limit a photographers angles, not so at TBW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Award winning London Wedding Photographer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Cocktails and canapes followed the wedding ceremony and we were blessed with the hottest day of the year so far. The guests enjoyed the outdoor space and the endless supply of Aperol Spritz and Mojitos. The bride and groom and I took the opportunity to go for a little stroll for portraits. I had a fun route in mind and always work quickly. I never like to remove a bride and groom from their own party for more than 15 minutes. With The Thames and the O2 as a back drop, not forgetting the Trinity Buoy Wharf Light House we captured some beautiful natural moments before returning to celebrate with the all the gang. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Natural and Unposed Wedding Photography in East London<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The huge barn doors were the perfect back drop for a fun series of family group portraits and a noisy ‘everyone’ picture. Dinner and speeches followed as the sun set over The Thames. Sometimes when the light is particularly attractive I ask a couple for a second wander, often this evening walk is called magic hour. Alex and Deepika were fortunate to have some golden light and more than happy to take 5 minutes for some extra portraits. The Chain and Buoy Store was now repurposed as dance-floor with a light up bar. Fairy lights had been strung on the terrace and the river looked stunning. The wedding cake was cut and the band kicked off; first dance complete it was dance-floor bedlam! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
