Festive Christmas Wedding at Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Laura and Alastair chose Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery<\/a> as their cool Ealing wedding venue. If you aren’t familiar with Pitzhanger Manor then I recommend you check it out, its wonderful. The main manor house is usually open to public but can be hired exclusively for a wedding ceremony and wedding reception. Huge Regency windows let in plenty of natural light and the interior decor is super stylish. The wall paper in the Upper Drawing Room is exquisite, Laura definitely wanted some portraits in this fab room. The grounds of Pitzhanger manor and Gallery<\/a> are manicured and perfect for Mr and Mrs portraits. There is a cute pond, fairy-tale bridge and even a walled garden. The Walled garden looks amazing in the summer with a huge wisteria plant in full bloom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wedding couple and I decided on a slightly less traditional wedding day schedule. The wedding ceremony was set for 3pm on a late December afternoon. This means all the fairy lights look twinkly and the Christmas pops but there is no day light outside. We therefore met a couple of hours before the ceremony for a fun stroll around the Pitzhanger manor grounds for some relaxed and unposed portraits. I love to use natural light where possible for portraits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting married at Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The wedding ceremony in the Upper Drawing Room was emotional and fun in equal measure. I have been photographing weddings in London for a over a decade and have been privileged to be a part of some crazy wedding shenanigans. This was first time I have seen an actual tombola used to chose the wedding witnesses, a really fun addition that went down a storm. After the wedding the guests all made their way out to the main steps for confetti followed by some quick family groups. It was super chilly so I was quick and concise having already established which groups we were photographing and in what order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stylish London Manor House Wedding Venue<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pitzhanger Manor has a cool art gallery attached. At the time of this Ealing wedding the exhibition was ‘A sense of Wonder’, well worth a look btw. Alastair and Laura and their guests enjoyed a private view of the gallery, glass of champagne in hand. I was floating around discretely photographing the reception in my usual low key style. Check out My Style if you would like to learn a little more about how I like to photograph a wedding. There is a cute little colonnade linking Pitzhanger Manor with the Gallery. I used this outdoor space for a sparkler tunnel as the bride and groom made their way to more drinks and canapes in the main house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do need a relaxed and low key London documentary wedding photographer?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A long table has been arranged for dinner, the floral design was gorgeous. I was on hand for speeches and toasts photographing from the sidelines in my usual mix of colour and black and white. I left the party later that evening and would like to thank the bride and groom and all the staff at The Pitzhanger for making me so welcome.
