Nicola & Phil – Court Lodge Wedding Photography

September 8th 2018

Nicola and Phil chose the fabulous Court Lodge Barn in Kent to host their wedding celebrations. The medieval St. Mary’s Church a two minute walk away. Court Lodge Barn is hard to beat when it comes to Kent country wedding venues.

I met Nicola, her mum and a gang of bridesmaids in the final stages of wedding prep at her pre-wedding location, The Coach House in the pretty Kent village of West Malling. Nicola already looked dynamite and the talented hair and make up team were busy working on a production line of flower girls and bridesmaids. Emotions – already running high – spilled over with the arrival of Nicola’s dad, suffice to say, a very proud father!

I left Nicola to meet Phil and the fellas at St.Mary’s Church in the cute village of Stansted. St. Mary’s is a small and intimate church with a capacity of 150. The church flower team had excelled themselves. I was made immediately welcome by the parish priest. Phil looked super dapper as he greeted his guests, and then took his place at the front of the church ready for Nicola’s arrival in a vintage Jag.

Vows exchanged, the happy couple emerged into sunshine and confetti. After a short family group portrait session, the whole wedding party made the five minute walk to Court Lodge Barn for the champagne reception and drinks and games on the lawn.

Nicola, Phil and I, in the company of a lovely videographer Sean, all took a leisurely stroll through the apple orchard to capture some relaxed Mr & Mrs portraits. Before long it was dinner and speeches, followed by cake cutting, first dancing and live music from an awesome Beach Boys tribute band.

I left the fantastic party in full swing and would like to thank both Nicola and Phil for making me so welcome and wish them all the very best in the future.
