Rachel and Stuart chose the fabulous Gaynes Park in Essex to host their summer wedding bash. Gaynes Park in Essex is a particularly stunning Barn Wedding Venue. The wedding venue is quite remote and rural, meaning no late night party music sound issues! The surrounding countryside is beautiful and great for a stroll for Mr and Mrs portraits. The cute wedding couple chose the Orangery at Gaynes Park to host their wedding. There are options for outside weddings if you are brave enough to trust the fickle weather though. Stuart and Rachel are animal lovers and their pets played a big part in the wedding day. The sun shone as the ladies had the final touches made to their hair and make up. Stuart and fellas arrived looking suitably dapper. The bar in the main bar was open so everyone was happy!

In a slight break from tradition Rachel, Stuart and I + two special guests (a Shetland Pony and a gorgeous black Labrador) had a little portrait session before the wedding ceremony. The rolling countryside around Gaynes Park is magnificent and well worth a stroll around. One of my fave portraits of the couple was a quiet moment when they were leaning on a farm gate having a chat. This is my favourite style of wedding portraiture, natural and unposed. Then it was straight into the Essex barn wedding held in the Orangery at Gaynes Park. The service was beautiful and the new Mr & Mrs soon found themselves with a glass of bubbles while surrounded by celebrating loved ones.

Essex Country Summer Wedding

After a relaxed portrait session in the stunning grounds of the country pile the wedding party moved into the beautifully decorated barn for the wedding breakfast and speeches. Rachel and Stuart had cleverly laid on a magician to entertain the children after the meal enabling the adults to hang out at the Gin Bar and relax in the evening sunshine.

As the sun set the happy couple cut the cake and started the party with their first dance. I was floating about the fun party capturing all the excitement. The lovely Essex couple commissioned my wedding photography because they like my unposed and relaxed style of wedding photography. Neither of the couple particularly enjoyed being photographed. They were keen for me to document the wedding while impacting as little as possible. I do get involved in coordinating any family group portraits and will help with confetti etc but in general I like to be discrete. I also dress like a guest and therefore fit in to a wedding party.

I left the wonderful wedding in full swing and would like to thank both Rachel and Stuart for making me so welcome. I have plenty of availability for weddings this year. You can drop me a line through my Contact Form or check out My Portfolio for other weddings I have photographed. My Style page lets you into the way I like to approach wedding photography. I am based in Hackney in North East London and photograph weddings all over the UK. The wonderful Gaynes Park is only an hour or so out of London and therefore super convenient.
