Felisa & Stuart Fitzrovia Chapel wedding
I met up with Felisa and the girls in the Andaz Hotel in Liverpool Street getting ready for her Fitzrovia Chapel wedding to Stuart. A production line of hair and make up was in full flow. Four flower girl dresses hung next to four bridesmaids frocks. Which hung next to a belter of a wedding dress, all the signs were there…this was going to be some wedding!
Stuart and his best-man were also staying in the Andaz Hotel. Once Stuart had mastered the tricky Windsor knot technique they made their way to the stunning Fitzrovia Chapel. The Fitzoria Chapel is tucked neatly in behind Goodge Street in London’s Westend. In over a decade of photographing weddings this was my first visit to this gem of a chapel. Small but perfectly formed it has amazing ceilings and stained glass windows. Felisa arrived at the Fitzrovia Chapel in a white London Taxi looking absolute dynamite. The service went by in a flash and we all exited to confetti and cheers.
The guests boarded a vintage Route Master double decker bus. The bride and groom and I nipped off for some relaxed Mr & Mrs portraits before joining the party and driving across London to The Andaz Hotel in Liverpool Street. A spectacular room had been prepared for the wedding breakfast. A talented band welcomed the happy couple to their reception. After some moving and funny speeches a cake was cut and a first dance danced, followed by a packed dance-floor and photo booth.
I left the terrific party in full flow and would like to thank both Felisa and Stuart and all their guests for making me so welcome. If you are planning your own wedding, drop me a line to check my availability.
